Armin en Markus receive multiple IDMA nominations

With the annual Miami Winter Music Conference just around the corner, nominations for the 2010 IDMA (International Dance Music Awards) have been announced, with the ceremony set to take place during WMC week.

Many of Dance music’s biggest names are up for awards, including Armin van Buuren and Markus Schulz.

Armin is nominated in the following categories: 'Best Trance Track', 'Best European DJ', 'Best Global DJ', 'Best Radio Mix Show DJ', 'Best Global DJ', 'Best Full Length DJ Mix’,  'Best Producer' and finally, 'Best Podcast'.

Markus has been shortlisted in no less than 5 categories: ‘Best American DJ’, 'Best Global DJ', Best Radio Show DJ’, 'Best Full Length DJ Mix’ and ‘Best Producer’.

Gareth Emery Podcast reaches episode 100

Wherever you are in the world, Friday March 19th is a date you need in your diary. Why? Because it’s when the Gareth Emery Podcast reaches Episode 100 after an epic four years of podcasting.

The best place to enjoy the celebrations will be at Garuda’s spiritual home of Sankeys, Manchester UK, where Gareth will be hosting a no-doubt roadblocked party with very special guests Jerome Isma-Ae,  Simon Patterson and Menno de Jong.

Extensive highlights from the DJ sets at the event will be broadcast on The Gareth Emery Podcast Episode 100 the following Thursday (25th March). Those who aren’t able to attend in person won’t be missing out too much, as they’ll be broadcasting the entire event live via AH.fm, so wherever you are in the world, you’ll be able to tune in and join in the celebrations. Live broadcast starts Friday 19th March 2010, 10pm UK / 11pm CET / 5pm US Eastern / 2pm US Pacific.

Armin receives 8 IDMA nominations

Last year, Armin van Buuren became the lucky owner of 4 International Dance Music Awards. This year, he's in the running for 7 Awards with 8 nominations. Nominations for the 25th edition of the IDMA's during the Miami Winter Music Conference were announced last night.

 

Armin is nominated in the following categories: 'Best Trance Track' for both 'Broken Tonight' and 'Gaia - Tuvan', 'Best European DJ', 'Best Global DJ', 'Best Radio Mix Show DJ' for his work on A State of Trance radioshow, 'Best Full Length DJ Mix' on his A State of Trance 2009 compilation, 'Best Producer' and finally, 'Best Podcast' for the A State of Trance Podcast.   Armada Music, of which Armin is the co-owner, received 20 nominations in total.
